Art Contest – Visual Arts Scholastic Event – 28 students attended with 45 projects Saturday. Out of those 45 paintings, drawings & sculptures 38 of those received the top score of a 4. A very deserving Mason Anderson advanced to State VASE in April with his colored pencil and watercolor piece. These kiddos have put in so much time & energy- we are so proud of all of them!
Robotics at lunch in the Atrium! Everyone is invited to stop by the robotics arena in the Atrium during lunch to see the additions to the DHS bot. They will be adding grabbers, claws, arm extensions and more to the bot each week. The robotics team is reconfiguring the design to make the bot better and better. CHECK OUT THE DHS BOT IN THE ATRIUM!

Summer Jobs: It’s time to start applying for summer jobs!
Dumas Aquatic Park is taking applications for lifeguards and Gate/Concession Staff. Applicants must be 15 years old. Starting pay is $7.25 per hour. Pick up an application in the counselor’s office or at Dumas City Hall at 124 W. 6th.

JBS at Cactus – Swift is hiring 60 summer temp workers in Cactus. Must be 18 or older, and it is a 10 week program from June to August. Pay rate is $16.20/ hour and they will give UP TO 40 hours per week. You will be working in an area that does not involve knives or heavy equipment.
