Demon Wrestling won 2nd place team at the state Wrestling Tournament. AhleeYart state runner up, Robert Ruiz 3rd, and Juan Romero 4th.  Well done, Demons.

DHS Choir has 13 solo students going to state and 15 medal winners!  Woohoo!

DHS did great at the State TAFE competition: 1st place for Project Visualize; Be Aware project – recognized;  Fundamentals project – recognized.

Foreign Language Club  every Wednesday in room 175 with Ms. Aguillon during lunch. Bring your lunch! (Not Tuesday)

BLOOD DRIVE- Friday, March 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the crackerbox gym. You must be 17 years old or 16 years old with a parent permission form. You MUST bring your ID.  Sign up in the front office by Thursday, March 5.  Talk to Mr. Bates or Ms. Ashley for more information.

Summer Jobs:  It’s time to start applying for summer jobs!  

Dumas Aquatic Park is taking applications for lifeguards and Gate/Concession Staff.  Applicants must be 15 years old. Starting pay is $7.25 per hour. Pick up an application in the counselor’s office or at Dumas City Hall at 124 W. 6th.

City of Dumas is taking applications for Park Department staff and Solid Waste Department staff.  Applicants must be 16 years old. Starting pay is $7.25 per hour.  Pick up an application in the counselor’s office or at Dumas City Hall at 124 W. 6th.

Dumas Independent School District –   More information will be posted as it becomes available.

JBS at Cactus –  Swift is hiring 60 summer temp workers in Cactus. Must be 18 or older, and it is a 10 week program from June to August.  Pay rate is $16.20/ hour and they will give UP TO 40 hours per week.  You will be working in an area that does not involve knives or heavy equipment.
